Description

Our classic fire staffs are designed to be the perfect introduction to the art of fire staff spinning. These staffs are versatile and can be used for a variety of spinning techniques.

Classic Fire Staffs are particularly well-suited for single-staff spinning and double-staff spinning. However, their lighter weight is less ideal for mastering contact moves. If your focus is on contact staff spinning, we highly recommend our Fibre 3 Contact Fire Staffs.

All around staff

Firetoys aluminium staffs are lightweight, durable, and hard-wearing. The wicks are extremely robust and, if maintained correctly, should last many hundreds of burns.

Classic Fire Staffs use 500mm of high-grade para-aramid wick—much more than most other staffs. This amount of wick provides a decent-sized flame that will burn for an average of 4-5 minutes, depending on conditions.

The grip on these staffs is top-quality, extra-long, padded, and insulated. If necessary, both the padded grip and the wicks can be replaced easily.

Which size staff?

If you're fairly new to staff you might be wondering what size you should be using. Luckily we have included a rough guide to this in our blog - How to choose a staff for spinning

A rule of thumb you often hear is to pick a staff that is somewhere between shoulder and chin height. This is not a bad starting point but don’t adhere to it too strictly. What size to pick depends on what you want to use it for and personal preference.

90cm-110cm – Great for children and shorter adults as a staff for normal spinning.

•120cm-130cm – Often seen as a standard size for a first-time staff. Great for single and double staff spinning.

•140cm – A very popular size for single staff spinners. Younger or shorter people can find this size too cumbersome but it is a good size for contact staff moves.

•150cm-160cm – These sizes are generally only chosen by contact staff spinners because they are long and heavy (we only stock these sizes in contact fire staffs). Taller and stronger people may like these staffs for normal spinning though.
